MS Horse Park hosts 91±¬ÁÏ Rotary Classic Rodeo Feb. 13-14

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Featuring top contestants from across the country, the annual Rotary Classic Rodeo returns to the Mississippi Horse Park this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13–14, for two nights of competition and family-friendly entertainment.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association-sanctioned event begins at 7 p.m. each night. Admission for children 12 and under is free on Friday. On Saturday, children 3 and under are admitted free, while tickets for children ages 4–12 are $5. Adult tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance. Advance tickets are available at the Oktibbeha County Co-op, Greater 91±¬ÁÏ Development Partnership and Tractor Supply Co. locations in 91±¬ÁÏ and Columbus.
Saturday activities begin early, with pony rides and a petting zoo on the arena floor 5-6:30 p.m.
Rodeo events include bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding; steer wrestling; barrel racing; tie-down, team and women’s breakaway roping. The Rotary Classic Rodeo has earned national recognition from the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, receiving multiple first-place Justin Boots Best Footing Awards for the Southeastern Circuit. Contestants compete for prize money that counts toward qualification for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas each December.
The rodeo began 22 years ago at the Horse Park and has served as the 91±¬ÁÏ Rotary Club’s primary fundraiser since 2007. Proceeds support the club’s humanitarian, educational and community service initiatives.
